It is hard to believe but today is our last day at Miguel Pro. We have spent the last week wrapping up our projects here and will spend the weekend packing and getting ready to return to the States.
For me, this week was the end of our Nivelación project for the first half of the year, and we had a nice wrap up session on Wednesday celebrating the hard work of the kids. I also finished a few other projects for the psychologist and the vice principal. JP has been working hard at the Posta and organizing donated medications. It is sort of strange to be leaving since it is not the end of the semester or any other fixed ending point, so everything will continue as normal here even without us.
We will be leaving Tacna on Sunday afternoon, taking the overnight bus to Lima. We will arrive in Lima on Monday late morning, hang out there for the day and then board a plane early Tuesday morning to return to Phoenix. Hopefully once we get back we will have a chance to add some pictures of what this last week has been like. Hope all is well with everyone--we will update the blog when we are back in Phoenix.
