The other weekend, we went back to Sabino Canyon again, this time on a stroller walk that turned into a sort-of-hike. We set out on the paved road and then attempted to follow the signs to the Sabino Canyon Dam, which we had never seen. It was cold (in the 50s) and windy so it was not very crowded and was nice and peaceful.
We finally found a picnic table near signs for the dam and decided to have a snack while we determined how to get to the dam with the stroller.
Here is a great sequence of Abigail eating a dried chile lime mango, realizing it is hot, and cooling off with a banana:
Abigail recovered and went back for more chile mango though!
After our break, thanks to some scouting from JP, we were able to find a bumpy path that the stroller could get close to the dam, and then parked it and made our way on foot:
It was pretty fun and will be great when the weather warms up:
