Halloween at school

Abigail was very excited to wear her sunflower costume to school and celebrate with all her friends this year. JP and I were remarking on the fact that this time last year she was in the baby room, and now she has gone all the way through the toddler room and into the 2s and 3s room ahead of schedule with her winter birthday buddies.

Last year I don't think she had any idea what was going on but she did okay. This year she kind of knew about Halloween because she was talking about it but she was quite suspicious on the day itself. It must be confusing to see all her friends and teachers dressed up funny and to see a lot more grownups than normal.

I was able to stay for the parade and activities, including pumpkin making, but Abigail stayed pretty suspicious.

I did get one smiling (for Abigail) picture, however.

Notice how her facial expression does not change while she is on "stage" with her buddies, and while being introduced to the crowd:
With Miss Arlette (above), her current favorite teacher, and Miss Tiffany (below), the music teacher who was the MC for the event.
We did get one cute Mama and Abigail quick shot before I had to go though!
