Mother's Day weekend

Before graduation, we got to celebrate mother's day just the three of us.

On Saturday we headed out for what we hoped was one last hike at Sabino before the creek dried up. Abigail wanted to wear this ribbon from school in her hair:

The hike was good but warm, and we got to the creek only to learn that it was already dry. Someone who wanted to splash in the creek was disappointed, but managed and was cheered up with snacks.

After snacks, we did go for a short walk in the dry creek bed and we saw two deer near the other bank, which was a nice consolation prize.  No photo though--they were fast!

Abigail ended up getting sick on the morning of mother's day itself so we had a quiet day at home. She slept quite a bit so it was pretty quiet.
