Christmas in O-H-I-O

Returning to winter in Columbus was quite the shock to the system after spending some time at the beach in Peru in our last month there.

We went to Mass on Christmas eve and about 10 minutes before it started, the priest went up on the altar to make an announcement.  Instead of getting everyone's attention by saying "Good evening" or "Merry Christmas" he said "O - H".  Everyone stopped their conversations and responded "I - O" thus completing the Ohio State University cheer.  Needless to say that people here are weird.

We spent Christmas morning with Katie's parents Jim and Betty and her brother Michael.  All are shown at their best here!

We had a well-decorated real tree.

And Katie got the top present on her gift list.

We spent a very chill New Year's Eve and Day at home.  We barely made it until midnight on the 31st and watched a lot of college football including Ohio State's victory over Oregon on the 1st.
