Big girl chonies!

The first weekend in March, we embarked on our adventures in potty training using a loose version of the three-day potty training method.  Abigail had been practicing using the potty at our house, at school, and occasionally around town on errands. One other little girl in her class was already in underwear and she often asked for her own.  Only she likes to call them "chonies" instead of "underwear", which is local/Mexican slang derived from the word "calzones" for underwear.  So Abigail was very excited to check out her new collection of big girl chonies!

We wore chonies all weekend and tried to practice as much as we could, and watched Elmo's Potty Time too:

After a few successful potty trips, Abigail was able to choose prizes from a prize bag, and here she is with one of them:

Abigail did a great job overall and is in chonies during the day with diapers at naps and at night. She is so proud of herself and we are so proud of her too and can't believe how big she is getting!
