January hike to Romero Pools

Happy March!  JP is back from Guatemala as of late Wednesday night so I am now taking the opportunity to catch up and share some earlier adventures.  Abigail is sick this weekend so we are laying low and taking it easy. Plus it is raining which is very unusual for us.

In January on Martin Luther King Day we made the trek up to Catalina State Park, which is maybe 30 minutes by car north of our house. We hiked up to an area called Romero Pools and had a really good time. The hike felt about 20-30 minutes longer than we remembered so the end of the way there got a little old, but it was all worth it.  Of course, the last time we went was before we had Abigail so our memories may be a little fuzzy as well.

Here is me and Abigail stopping for a blueberry snack on the way:

When we finally got to the pools, Abigail was very interested in exploring everything:

Plus we actually got a picture of all three of us:

The way back was a little faster and Abigail took a nap on the way down in the hiking backpack. We will have to try to go more often because we had a good time!
