Photos!

Here are a few quick photos as highlights from our trip so far:

JP in our hostel in Guayaquil!  After I posted about my mosquito bites, he asked me to make sure I mentioned that he has been sweating non-stop since he landed, so I guess we are even.  You can see the sweat marks on his shirt already in this pic, not to be gross.

Pretty green countryside and mountains in southern Ecuador, taken out the bus window.

Border crossing in Ecuador. We got dropped off at this random place on the side of the road, gave this guy our papers, and then stood around for a while since the bus had disappeared.  We ate ice cream and dodged raindrops and eventually, the bus showed back up and we continued.  One of the randomest border crossings, and we were still several miles from the border.

This is the actual border, a random moat-type thing with a bridge that was packed with people crossing back and forth buying and selling things.  There were towns on both sides, and a few guards on each side but no one seemed very concerned.  A few miles later, we stopped and went through Peruvian immigration.

The mangrove swamps!  We had a great day and got to see crocodiles (in a sanctuary), birds, and eat great ceviche.  It was a really fun trip.
We are now in Máncora and have decent wifi access here, so we will try to get some more photos up tomorrow.  Enjoy!
