New toys

Over the past couple weeks, we have excitedly watched as Abigail has discovered her hands and begun exploring.  Initially, finding her hands meant doing lots of sucking on her fists, but now her skills have expanded to include grasping toys placed near her, putting them in her mouth, and hitting and grabbing things more actively.

This development has meant that we can play with some of the toys we have had since before Abigail arrived that have been waiting for Abigail to be ready for them.

Abigail also got a new chair to practice sitting up in as a present from her grandparents:

But even though we have all these fun toys, Abigail still sometimes likes non-toy things the best:

This is my water bottle that she loves to reach for, grab and try to drink out of--very entertaining to watch.
