Zoo Close Encounters

Two weekends ago we went to the zoo while we enjoyed the fact that JP was off on both his weekend days.  Abigail was very excited to wear her pink birdie shirt to the zoo (she is kind of obsessed with birds lately).  The zoo has a couple of sections where birds live in what basically amounts to a big netted area, so people can come in and out and the birds wander around.

Abigail had fun checking out these crazy pink birds in this section of the zoo and came very close to them. I think the birds are called spoonbills. Check her out:

 Abigail was very fascinated by this close brush with the birds! At this point my camera died as I had forgotten to check the battery so you will have to take my word for the fact that the rest of the zoo trip was fun too!
