Flying to Ohio

Abigail and I were able to get up and get ready at Mai Mai and Papa's house in Phoenix and Abigail was so excited to go on the airplane.  She is always pointing out the airplanes that we see in the sky and we talked about it quite a bit leading up to the trip.  Abigail always says that the airplanes we see are going to "Mai Mai's house".  Plus when JP did all his traveling that made Abigail even more excited.  We continued to read the "Airport" book that we read a lot before our last plane trip, and Abigail was very excited about the idea of getting to sit in her own seat, because she was two now!

We got the bags ready and Abigail was excited to don her monkey backpack again and head out.  She was patient in the stroller while we made our way through check in and security and then got out to run around and see the planes.  We wandered for a little while and then Abigail wanted to find her plane.  Here it is:

 We were lucky to have an on time flight so we got on the plane on schedule and got situated. Abigail got to sit next to the window and was very excited about watching everything that happened outside.  Things went pretty smoothly although Abigail did protest quite a bit about being "stuck" after she had to put her seatbelt on, but eventually once she realized that everybody was stuck and got distracted wih a book and a snack, we recovered nicely.  

 Abigail did great overall and even went peepee on the potty in the plane when she came with me to the bathroom.  She was also excited to see everything get bigger and bigger and bigger as the plane landed.  Mai Mai Betty and Papa Jimmy were there to meet us and then JP got there just a few minutes after we did. Then the Christmas excitement began!
