After a fairly smooth pair of flights we got to Lima. The line at migration was slow so we didn´t get to the hotel until late but all our bags are here in good shape. After some confusion with our reservation, we were given a room with four beds -- enough so none of our bags has to even touch the ground.
After walking around Lima for a bit, we met up with my friend Guily and her new Spanish boyfriend for lunch and got to catch up on what´s going on. Cathleen got to taste some authentic Peruvian food for the first time -- chicha morada, causa a la limeña, ceviche, papa a la huancaína, and pollo saltado.
We are taking the bus to Tacna tomorrow and will get in there Friday morning.
