Christmas enjoyment

Trying to catch up after the holiday craziness, and hoping to share some of our favorite belated Christmas photos.

We went up to Phoenix to spend the holiday with JP's family, and got to see a variety of relatives over several days, which was a lot of fun. It was nice to be there for longer as we had time to catch up with everyone over a more relaxed time frame, and Abigail had a blast and was a hit. Her sleep was a little screwy but not quite as bad at thanskgiving, so we were thankful for that.

Abigail again enjoyed staying at Grandma and Grandpa's house, playing outside and interacting with the animals.  Chelsea the dog was calm and patient and accepted the pinecones that Abigail kept trying to feed her throughout the visit:

She was also a pretty big fan of the swing:
By the end of the trip, Abigail had gotten the hang of paper tearing, aka present unwrapping:
The next day, on Christmas Eve, we had the chance to "help" Abigail decorate a gingerbread man using a kit that Grandma Mary had brought, which was entertaining:
Then we got to eat it:
We had more fun outside:

Then we took quick pictures with Abigail and the tree (which spins, which Abigail found fascinating):

Abigail got to play with cousin Greg some more:
Then we opened one present from Grandma and Grandpa:

On Christmas morning we opened some presents in our PJs:

Before heading to mass and then to another family meal, at which point I appear to have stopped taking pictures.  Regardless, we had a nice, full visit in Phoenix and enjoyed sharing the holiday with Abigail. It is hard to believe she looked like this last Christmas:
