Desert winter

It has been cold here lately, although it has not been cold in any absolute sense compared to the midwest or east coast.  This means I call it cold anytime it is under 60, worry when the highs are in the low 50s, but still refuse to wear a real coat and often skip socks as well.  But our nights have been getting below freezing and we are thankful for central heating.

In the meantime, it is a good excuse to bundle up little Abigail, who seems totally unfazed by the cold:

We have also had some cool storms that have left snow on the mountains, and took a picturesque (and cold) walk out at Sabino Canyon on New Year's Eve.  This is what winter looks like for us:

Brrrr!  It will be warm again before we know it!
