Go fly a kite

It is hard to believe, but 4 days after the snow we were out flying a kite with Abigail!  We read about lots of kites in her books for some reason so we decided to try our luck for real. It has been windy but not too windy so we headed over to our favorite park to try it out.  

Abigail was fairly interested but when it stayed in the air for too long she lost interest and wandered away. If I picked her up and showed it to her that helped.  But when it landed it became a lot more intriguing, and she was able to figure out that if she stepped on the little tails, she could stop the kite from taking off--so clever!

We had fun overall and the kite survived to fly another day, so it was a success!
